"La maturité du Slime"

Savez-vous ce que l’on obtient lorsque l’on mélange de la colle et du borax ? On obtient du slime. Mais qu’est ce que le Slime ? Le Slime est une matière visqueuse, dégoulinante qui de base est un jouet pour enfant. J’ai toujours était intéressé par les créations qui fusionnent plusieurs matières et la question que je me suis posé était « avec quelles matières je vais créer ma propre fusion ? ».
Je me suis renseigné auprès du Slime car cette matière est facile d’accès et de plus, à un potentiel visuel très fort, elle absorbe tout ce qu’on lui donne que ce soit paillette, peinture, pigment. J’ai donc décidé que cette matière sera ma matière de fusion.
J’ai commencé à travailler et à expérimenter sur cette matière, en me posant la question est ce que le Slime peut avoir un intérêt dans l’univers du design ?
J’ai travaillé les effets, couleurs, textures possible grâce au Slime puis après cette phase de couleur, je devais trouver un moyen de contrôler cette matière. J’ai commencé avec des formes basiques, après divers tests d’accélération de séchage, je me suis rendu compte que le Slime ne séchait qu’a l’air libre. Il séchait entièrement en environ 2, voir 3 semaines. Après ces expérimentations j’ai pris du recul afin de voir ou cela pouvez m’amener.
J’ai donc développé trois pistes, qui peuvent être défini par « le Slime comme filtre lumineux », « le Slime comme liant technique, liant d’assemblage » et enfin « le Slime comme revêtement de surface ». A travers mon diplôme et toute cette recherche je me suis rendu compte que le Slime avait des possibilités intéressantes dans l’univers du design. Ce projet n’est pas arrivé à terme et a pour but d’être continué l’année prochaine. Il faut savoir que je me positionne plus comme un artisan designer, et que ce projet m’offre un panel de possible à développer dans le futur, comme en créant des pièces plus complexes, tel la piste des filtres qui possède un vrai savoir faire développé grâce au diplôme, propre au Slime.

Slime is a viscous, dripping material that is a basic toy for children.I have always been interested in creations that merge several subjects and the question I asked myself was «with what materials will I create my own fusion? «.I inquired with the Slime because this material is easy to access and moreover, to a very strong visual potential, it absorbs all that is given to him that it is glitter, paint, pigment. So I decided that this material will be my fusion material.I started working and experimenting on this topic, asking the question is what the Slime can have an interest in the world of design?I worked the effects, colors, textures possible with the Slime and after this phase of color, I had to find a way to control this material. I started with basic shapes, after various drying acceleration tests, I realized that the Slime only dried in the open air. It was completely dry in about 2, or 3 weeks. After these experiments I took a step back to see where that can take me. So I developed three tracks, which can be defined by «Slime as light filter», «Slime as technical binder, assembly binder» and finally «Slime as surface coating». Through my diploma and all this research I realized that Slime had interesting possibilities in the world of design. This project has not been completed and aims to be continued next year.It should be known that I position myself more as a craftsman designer, and that this project offers me a panel of possible to develop in the future, as by creating more complex pieces, such as the track of the filters which has a real know-how developed thanks to the diploma, specific to Slime.
